Kajabi Review 2027: 11 Things to Know Before You Buy
Nov 04, 2026I've run my entire online business on Kajabi since 2018, so this Kajabi review for 2027 comes from inside my own active account, not a demo. If you're thinking about Kajabi, these are the 11 things I'd want you to know before you buy. I go through who it's built for, what it replaces, and the new AI features that have arrived this year.
Key Takeaways
- Kajabi is built for people selling digital products like courses, coaching and memberships, not physical products.
- It isn't the cheapest platform, but one bill for your website, courses, checkout and email can cost less than a stack of separate tools.
- Kajabi now connects to the AI tool of your choice, including Claude and ChatGPT, so you can work on your business from your AI chat.
1. Who Kajabi Is For (and Who It Isn't)
The first thing to understand in any Kajabi review is who the platform is designed for. Kajabi is for online business owners selling digital products: coaching, courses, memberships and their own services.
It isn't designed for selling physical products. If that's your business, there are better tools for the job. I cover this in more detail in my post on who Kajabi is actually for.
2. An All-in-One Platform That Replaces Your Tool Stack
Kajabi prides itself on having the tools you need under one roof. You pay once, and you pay for everything.
Some people try to duct tape separate subscriptions together. When you add them up, you could be saving money by starting with Kajabi.
Kajabi isn't the cheapest platform out there for online business owners. But for the value of what you get for what you pay, I think it's second to none. I break down every plan in my Kajabi pricing guide.
Your Website, Courses and Coaching in One Place
3. Website and Landing Pages
Kajabi can be your entire website. All you need to do is buy a domain, connect it to Kajabi, and set everything up from there.
Down the left-hand side you have your website design, website pages, landing pages, navigation, and even your blog. Everything you see on timpeakman.com, including this post, I've built with Kajabi.
It takes a little upfront work to set it all up. Once it's done, everything you have online can run through Kajabi.
4. Courses
Kajabi comes from a course background, and online courses are still its bread and butter. Inside each lesson you can upload a video, add a lesson thumbnail and a transcript, then preview it just as your students will see it.
Once the content of your course is ready, you can customize the look and feel by installing one of Kajabi's templates. I think of it as two parts:
- Content: what your course is all about, lesson by lesson.
- Style: the look and the feel your students experience.
Kajabi lets you customize both.
5. Coaching
Coaching is probably my favorite product in Kajabi. I do a lot of one-to-one and one-to-group coaching, and this is the product I use most.
You set up your program details, choose a coaching template and set your scheduling preferences. You can link your calendars to manage your availability, and add an upsell, notifications and automations.
I use Kajabi's built-in video for my calls, because once a call ends it uploads the replay for me. That saves me a lot of time. Your clients schedule their sessions from their coaching portal, and when it's time for the call they click the link and it opens right inside Kajabi. There's more on this in my Kajabi coaching post.
Community and Funnels
6. Community and Memberships
Kajabi acquired Vibely, a community platform, and built its features right into Kajabi. I don't currently use the community feature myself, so I showed Kajabi's own community from its last live event instead.
It looks a little like a Facebook group. Members can post, share links and chat, and you can add challenges, meetups and a leaderboard. You can choose a feed, forum or gallery layout, and light or dark mode.
The main job of a community is getting your members engaged, and Kajabi has done a good job with this one. I go deeper in my Kajabi community post.
7. Funnels
A funnel is simply a series of linked pages, one after the next. Kajabi makes it easy to start one with a click, from templates like a Zoom webinar, coaching campaign, product launch, sales page or freebie.
Inside a funnel you can see the whole flow: a landing page, an opt-in page and the sales page you want to position. You can rename it, view its stats or copy the link to share it, and any page opens in the page builder. More in my post on Kajabi funnels.
Payments, Checkout, Upsells and Order Bumps
8. Payments and Checkout
Kajabi has upgraded its payments and checkout a lot recently. In Kajabi, a checkout is called an offer.
Products and offers are kept separate on purpose. A product is what you deliver, and an offer is how you sell it, so you can bundle several products into the same offer.
Kajabi Payments is built on Stripe. With it you can switch on:
- Ways to pay: Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link, and Klarna or Afterpay (Clearpay, depending on where you are).
- Payment types: one-time payment, payment plan, subscription or free.
- Pricing: the currency you want, sales tax if you need it, and several pricing options on the same checkout.
You can also edit the look and feel of each checkout, and preview it the way a buyer will see it.
9. Upsells and Order Bumps
These are the two easiest extra sales you can add to a checkout:
- Upsell: what you show people on the next page after they buy. Choose something that complements what they've just purchased.
- Order bump: a small extra added to the checkout itself. On one of my checkouts, it's a set of YouTube brand templates for $47.
The idea behind an order bump is simple: it increases your average order value. I cover this in my post on the Kajabi checkout page.
10. Email Marketing Built In
Kajabi does all of your email, so you don't need another email provider. There are two main ways to email your list:
- Broadcast: sent at a date and time you choose. My weekly email goes out on Wednesdays at 3:00 PM.
- Sequence: triggered by something a contact does, like opting in to a form.
You don't have to send every email to your whole list. You can filter by almost anything, for example only people who have submitted a coaching application. Then you edit the email just like a landing page.
11. Kajabi's New AI Features
The last thing to know before you buy Kajabi is how much AI is now built in. On kajabi.com, under "See what's new in Kajabi", you'll find Backstage, Amplify, MCPs, Expert Agents and Cofounder.
The one I'd point to is the Kajabi MCP. It lets you plug in the AI tool of your choice, whether that's Claude, ChatGPT or Grok, and link it directly to your Kajabi account. I've connected my own Kajabi to Claude, and it works seamlessly.
Is Kajabi Worth It in 2027?
You might have started this Kajabi review wondering if Kajabi is worth it. My answer is that there's a lot of value under the hood of a single Kajabi account: your website, courses, coaching, community, funnels, checkout, email and now AI, in one place.
Whether it's right for you comes down to the first two things on this list: are you selling digital products, and do you want everything in one place? I've been using it since 2018, and I've made a separate video on most of these features, so search my channel for any you want to go deeper on.
